Stefan Peters (BE, °1980) is a landscape painter of the twenty-first century. Whereas a traditional landscape painter with painter easel, canvas and brushes sees the world freely, looking for the ideal landscape, Stefan Peters takes this journey from behind his computer screen. Here, he travels the world through Google Earth with a click of the mouse button. It is precisely the confinement of such a perception that Peters sees as his freedom for interpretation. This digital medium provides the artist with an inexhaustible source of visual material that can become the starting point for his paintings.
