Laure Prouvost (FR, °1978) is a French artist living and working in Antwerpen and London. The work of Laure Prouvost includes video art, installations and paintings that unhinge the existing connections between language, image and perception. In her films, Prouvost often approaches her audiences directly, manipulating the senses with fast-paced moving images, texts and clips of sound to achieve a physical experience. She won the 2013 Turner Prize with the installtion Wantee. This year Laure Prouvost is representing France at the 58th Venice Biennial.
